Affinity is a hosting provider with a difference, it's a provider that rewards you for helping other customers. It works a little like this; for basic support queries, we tend to direct customers to our knowledge base and community forums. Now, this only happens when it's a problem that doesn't require us to fix it (or isn't urgent), so you don't need to worry about not being able to get in touch for important issues. Now, if a customer ends up getting support from another customer of our services (either via the forums, or by marking a user submitted knowledge base article as "helpful"), we give the user who helped some points. These points accumulate over time and every six months, we convert those points in to cold hard cash and reward our customers with a payment in return for their efforts. Not credit towards service, but money, so you can buy your own reward. However, what if a user wants to use their points for something in the more immediate future? That's easy enough, customers can redeem their points at any time for upgrades and extensions to service, with a full list of what you can get shown in our rewards section. Customers can also earn points by referring new customers to our service, the amount of points you'll earn depends on the service a customer signs up to however. Despite it being OpenVZ, we don't oversell our nodes, so you'll always have access to the resources you've paid for. This offer is only available to the first 64 clients to sign up for it, but we'll keep adding capacity as long as we have demand for it. Smaller packages are available on request, but on our budget range, this is as big as it gets. We're currently designing the architecture for our premium VPS range, but we're a month or two away from a closed alpha at the moment. New accounts will take roughly five days to setup due to a new node being brought online, you will not be charged until your container has been setup however.
