EVL Gaming, LLC has added our new Xen powered virtual servers! Our servers have the highest performance which is absolutely essential for real-time applications such as VoIP and game servers. We can offer such high performance as there is ZERO overselling, and we use larger processors than necessary in our nodes. This allows our customers to completely max out their resources without causing any issues to any other customers.
We offer OpenVZ servers as well that typically have better performance than most other OpenVZ providers due to our low density nodes, however if one customer makes a mis-configuration it can cause the entire node to feel a performance loss. However due to the extra isolation of the Xen platform this issue is typically unheard of.
Linux Xen VPS servers are also available at a cheaper price!
Minimum specs on our Xen nodes are:
- Intel Xeon X3440 or higher (Quad Core + Hyper threading @ 2.5ghz or higher)
- 32GB DDR3 RAM Buffered RAM
- Western Digital RE4 or Caviar Black drives
- Multihomed Bandwidth (Level 3, Time Warner Telecom, Global Crossing, and AOL/RoadRunner in New York. Hurricane Electric and Cogent in Kansas City)
- Juniper based networking
- 100mbps connections
- Daily automatic backups of all systems to offsite RAID1 Servers in Chicago.
