LeaseWeb's network has been designed for high levels of redundancy and scalability. It connects our five POP's to tier-1 carriers and 10 internet exchanges across Europe and one in the USA. Our core and edge routers are interconnected through (multiple) 10gigabit ethernet waveguides or direct dark fiber connections. We have chosen the tier-1 network carriers carefully to complement each other and provide sufficient performance in case of problems. Internet exchanges across Europe and North America have been carefully chosen to ensure the best possible network connectivity. This results in the highest bandwidth and lowest latency. We uphold a policy of always having more than double internet capacity than is used by our customers which is currently around 650Gbit/s. Thus we have now a total external network capacity of over 1Tbit/s and our internal network capacity exceeds 1 Terabit/s. Our extended 24/7/365 network monitoring allows us to proactively react and prevent the network issues before they appear.
