Bandwidth Policy
All servers are placed on our shared network by default. Dedicated bandwidth can be purchase as an optional extra if desired. Servers are subject to our fair usage policy. See section 8 of our terms of service.
Our fair usage policy stipulates a minimum level of data transfer/bandwidth guaranteed by Host Hong Kong. Users may exceed this minimum level and
will not be charged extra for said usage, however speed caps may be introduced should the level of usage result in adverse affects to other servers on the network.
High end servers will be given greater network priority over low end servers. What this mean is, should 2 or more servers exceed the minimum usage level, traffic shaping will be conducted on the lowest end (as determined by price) first. In practice, this results in an informal increase in network capacity to higher end servers.
Content Restrictions
Our servers can only be used for lawful purposes. We will not tolerate the use of our servers for any of the following:
- Warez/Illegal copyright material
- Hacking/Phishing websites
- Viruses/Malware/Spyware
- Hate sites
- SPAM
- HYIP/Ponzi/Pyramid schemes
