At manchestervps.co.uk, we got fed up ourselves of the how little we were allowed to do with the typical VPS we rented. It's what led us to develop our own control panel from scratch, that gives you real control.
What you can do with our control panel that you can't do with most other VPS providers:
- Manage multiple VPS in one control panel, with only 1 username & password to remember
- Create multiple virtual disks drives for your VPS, and if you have multiple VPS you can move drives from one VPS to another easily at any time
- Monitor the status of things you ask the Control Panel to do, to see if they were done successfully or if there were any errors
- Tweak many VPS settings, such as QEMU machine type, CPU type, network adapter model, VGA device model, keyboard language, enable/disable ACPI, HPET, VNC, watchdog device
- For each virtual disk drive, choose the virtualised bus, from VirtIO, IDE, SCSI or USB
- Each virtual disk drive can be optionally set to Read Only, which is handy if you have some data you want to ensure cannot be modified inside the VPS
- Increase the Logical and Physical Block size of one or more of your virtual disk drives, allowing you to maximise performance depending on what type of data you intend to store
- Unlike most VPS providers, we don't just let you just Start, Hard Power Off, or Hard Reset your VPS. Our control panel also lets perform a graceful shutdown with ACPI, and send the Ctrl-Alt-Del key sequence to your VPS to signal an OS reboot
- If you have multiple VPS, you can share your total storage allocation as you like between them, so you can give more of your storage space to one VPS than another
