- What happens when I need to upgrade / downgrade?
- As your project changes our full team will help you make the migration to a hosting solution that is better suited for your project.
- It does not appear your Servers are instant activation? Why Not?
- There are several reasons we do not do instant activation. Instant Activation requires an OS image be created so that it can be auto-provisioned to the server. This often leaves the server open to security holes that have been patched since the OS image was created. Secondly as each server is often used for a different project, standard configuration files can caused poor performance. As our provisioning team discusses every order with the client before setting up, we can often tweak these files to increase performance greatly.
- Is there a charge for IPMI / KVM?
- No, there is no additional charge for IPMI / KVM. However it is not configured for end user access by default. This is done as a security precaution. For those users that need this access, our support team will gladly provide you with details on how to access.
- I want to run software (insert software package name here), do your servers support it?
- Yes, we do not limit the type of software that can be run on dedicated servers at all. However depending on the software package, we may only be able to provide limited support / mangement. If you have any questions about a particular software package, please contact our sales or support team.
